TapBudget Privacy Policy

TapBudget ("the App") is developed by ReleaseGrid ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices regarding that information.

Information We Collect

TapBudget is designed to work entirely on your device. There is no account creation, no sign-in, and no connection to your bank. We do not collect your name, email address, or location.

  • Transaction data: amounts, notes, categories, and dates you enter manually or through Back Tap are stored locally on your device.
  • Savings goals: goal names, target amounts, target dates, and allocations you create are stored locally on your device.
  • Back Tap access: if you enable Back Tap through iOS Accessibility settings, the App responds to that system gesture to open a quick-entry form. This permission is managed entirely by iOS and can be revoked at any time in your device's Settings app.

How We Use Information

Transaction and savings data is used solely to provide the App's core functionality: calculating your remaining budget, your safe-to-spend daily amount, and your progress toward savings goals. We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

Data Storage & Sharing

All budgeting data you enter is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that receive or store your transactions or savings goals, and we do not share this data with any third party. Because TapBudget never connects to your bank, we never see your account credentials or balances.

Your Choices

You can disable Back Tap at any time through your device's Settings app. Deleting the App removes all locally stored transaction and savings data from your device.

Children's Privacy

TapBudget does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App does not collect personal information at all, it may be used by a general audience in accordance with applicable app store guidelines.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
