Apps Built in Public

I build apps. Then I show you everything.

Self-made consumer apps, broken down in public: the decisions, the numbers, the mistakes.

Pedometer II

The simplest way to count your steps. Free, accurate, and refreshingly clutter-free: streaks, badges, and a clean 7-day chart. Your data never leaves your phone.

TapBudget

Double-tap the back of your iPhone to log a transaction in seconds. No bank login, no account, no ads: just the one number that matters, how much you can safely spend today.

What's next

I prototype constantly and ship only what earns its place. The next app is in research. Case study to follow, warts and all.

02

How I build

The playbook is short on purpose. Four rules, applied to every app I ship, and documented in the case studies so you can reuse them.

01

Ship small, ship often

Every app does one thing well. Tight scope means I can launch in weeks, listen, and improve, instead of polishing a roadmap nobody asked for.

02

Own the whole stack

I build my own release, rollback, and analytics tooling in-house. When something breaks in production, I can see it and fix it in minutes.

03

Respect by default

No ads, no trackers, no accounts unless the feature truly needs one. Data stays on your device wherever possible: it's your phone, not my funnel.

04

Charge honestly

Free where I can afford it, a fair one-time price where I can't. No subscriptions for things that don't cost me money every month.

03

Case studies

Every app gets a full public breakdown: decisions, launch numbers, and mistakes included. Nothing held back.
